OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Eskrima Gear

1) DUMMY: Any set of tyres or substitute target representing the body may be used. Any rattan cane eskrima stick may be used.

2) STICK: The stick used for the competition must be a regular Eskrima stick, approximately 75cm long and typical caliber and weight.  The stick must be held by the hand in the typical manner that SGM Cacoy Canete taught, so the punyo, or puk-puk end of the stick is around a fist width (allowing for a counter-lever movement with witik moves and abanico etc)

Tech Gear

1) a device, such as a PC or a spare phone, to connect live through Zoom to our MC, other players & our audience
and
2) a device / phone to video your performance: we prefer a phone for the videos of the performance, since you will need to send those videos to us in either Facebook Messenger or Whatsapp immediately after the competition is complete, and we will send to our Independent Adjudicator for slow-motion assessment and counting.
